Aprilia India has launched the 2026 Tuono 457 Special Edition at a starting price of Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-sh), about Rs 2k more than standard version starting price. Introduced on World Motorcycle Day, the new special edition draws inspiration from the iconic 2006 Tuono 1000R and brings a series of updates focused on rider comfort, everyday usability and touring capability.
The motorcycle continues to be based on the same 457cc parallel-twin platform as the standard Tuono 457, but receives new colours, revised ergonomics and a comprehensive comfort package aimed at enhancing the ownership experience on Indian roads. Bookings for the new Tuono 457 Special Edition are now open at select Aprilia dealerships across the country.

Inspired By The Legendary Tuono 1000R
Aprilia says the Special Edition pays tribute to the 2006 Tuono 1000R, one of the brand’s most celebrated naked motorcycles. To reflect that heritage, the bike is offered in two new colour schemes – Mamba Black and Puma Grey. A new smoked flyscreen has been added, integrating neatly into the front design while providing additional wind protection for highway rides. According to Aprilia, the flyscreen has been developed using premium high-impact material and helps reduce rider fatigue at higher speeds.
Focus On Rider Comfort
The biggest changes on the Tuono 457 Special Edition revolve around rider ergonomics and comfort. Aprilia has fitted a higher handlebar position that places the rider in a more upright posture. This is aimed at reducing strain on the wrists, shoulders and lower back, particularly during daily commutes and long-distance rides.

The motorcycle also gets an upgraded rider seat featuring a high-resilience foam core that is claimed to improve support while reducing vibrations transmitted to the rider. Further improvements include revised suspension settings with a softer initial stroke for improved ride quality over potholes and rough roads. Preload adjustability at both ends remains available, allowing riders to fine-tune the setup according to their preference.
Adjustable Brake Lever Added
Another notable addition is an adjustable brake lever, allowing riders to customise lever reach according to hand size and riding style. Aprilia says this not only improves comfort but also offers better braking modulation, stronger control and reduced fatigue during extended riding sessions. Improved lever ergonomics are also expected to provide better feedback from the braking system.

Same 457cc Twin-Cylinder Engine
Powering the Tuono 457 Special Edition is the same 457cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that develops 47.6 hp (35 kW) and 43.5 Nm of torque. The motorcycle continues with a full-colour TFT instrument cluster that integrates with the CAN-based electronics architecture. The display supports self-diagnostics and retains advanced functions including lap timing.
Lighting is fully LED, with adjustable illumination levels and redesigned front and rear lighting elements. The bike also features an immobiliser-equipped ignition system as standard. Aprilia is offering a range of accessories with the Tuono 457 Special Edition including a quickshifter, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic anti-theft system, USB charging socket, fork sliders, passenger seat cover, shorter mudguard and a vehicle cover.
4-Year Warranty
Aprilia has also announced a 4-year / 48,000 km warranty package for the Tuono 457 Special Edition, whichever comes first. Speaking about the launch, Diego Graffi, Chairman and Managing Director of Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, said the Special Edition has been developed with a strong focus on rider comfort and everyday usability while retaining the performance and character expected from an Aprilia motorcycle.
