2026 Maruti Brezza Teased
Maruti Suzuki has officially teased the new Brezza for the first time ahead of its launch on 24th July 2026. Along with the teaser, the company has also announced that bookings are now open, signalling the arrival of the first major update for the second-generation Brezza since its launch in 2022. Customers can book at authorized dealerships or via online by paying Rs 11,000 booking amount.
The teaser carries the message, “It’s the season’s biggest play. And it’s about to blow you away. The New Brezza, Bookings Open.” While it doesn’t reveal much about the SUV itself, it showcases the silhouette of the facelifted Brezza and shares glimpses of its profile in the teaser video.

Speaking on the announcement, Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Brezza’s extraordinary journey since its introduction in 2016 has made it India’s Highest Selling Compact SUV. In 10 Years, Brezza has won the trust of over 1.4 million customers which is a testament of its product supremacy and segment domination. In 2026, The New Brezza will represent a perfect synthesis of customer’s love and unlock a new dimension of excitement. We invite customers to book the New Brezza today and be among the first to experience it.”
What To Expect From New Brezza?
The facelift is expected to introduce a number of important upgrades, both under the hood and inside the cabin. One of the biggest expected changes is the addition of Maruti Suzuki’s 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, already seen in Fronx. In that application, the engine produces 100 PS and 147.6 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
The existing 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine is also expected to continue in the lineup. The CNG version could receive a significant practicality upgrade with an underbody-mounted CNG cylinder, replacing the current boot-mounted tank and freeing up luggage space.

More Features, Mild Design Changes
Spy shots have revealed mild cosmetic revisions including updated front and rear bumpers, refreshed lighting elements and a new alloy wheel design. The cabin is expected to receive revised upholstery, new trim finishes and additional features.
Expected equipment includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, ambient lighting and other convenience upgrades. While ADAS had been speculated for the facelift, our sources indicate that the new Brezza will not get an ADAS suite.
Lower Tax With Turbo Engine?
An interesting aspect of the facelift could be pricing of the turbo variants. Since the 1.0-litre turbo engine qualifies for the lower GST slab applicable to sub-4 metre petrol vehicles with engines up to 1.2 litres, Maruti could potentially price these variants competitively.
More details, including variant-wise features and prices, will be announced when the new Maruti Brezza is launched on 24th July 2026. The updated SUV will continue to rival Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Toyota Taisor and other sub 4m SUVs in the segment.
