Upcoming Mahindra SUV – BE 6 Facelift
Mahindra launched the BE 6 in January 2025, alongside the XEV 9e. And ever since, the XEV 9e has done exceptionally well in terms of sales, while the BE 6 hasn’t been the most successful. However, it looks like Mahindra will be offering a few updates to the BE 6 to make it an even more attractive deal.
Industry sources suggest that the Mahindra BE 6 will be getting a triple-screen setup with this update. Moreover, we can expect to see a few cosmetic changes to freshen up the look a little. We believe that Mahindra could offer the 70kWh battery pack from the XEV 9S to offer a wider range of choice for potential buyers. We expect the updated BE 6 to carry a price tag ranging from Rs 20.50 lakh to Rs 30.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). This could be one of the 3 SUVs expected to launch on August 15, 2026.

Mahindra Thar Facelift

Previously, Mahindra updated its Thar 3-door with very few features – more like a mid-life update. However, the Thar is expected to get a facelift this Independence Day. We expect Mahindra to offer new features like a new 12.3-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, ADAS, ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat and much more. Mahindra could also offer a few cosmetic changes to freshen up the design of the Thar 3-door. On the powertrain front, everything is expected to remain as it is. We expect the Mahindra Thar to carry a price tag ranging between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 23 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Upcoming Mahindra SUV – BE 6 Rally Edition
Back in 2023, Mahindra showcased a BE Rall-e concept, which essentially is an off-road-ready BE 6. However, it was never brought to life. This Independence Day, though, Mahindra is expected to launch the BE 6 Rally Edition. The Rally Edition was spotted testing in Spiti Valley, with heavy camouflage. However, some part of the camouflage was torn, revealing the bright neon yellow colour of the SUV. Moreover, the front of the SUV closely resembled the Formula 1 edition of the BE 6 with a better approach angle for off-road driving. We can expect to see dual-purpose larger tyres, better ground clearance, more suspension travel and body cladding for better off-road performance.
Mahindra is expected to offer AWD with the 79kWh battery pack for the BE 6 Rally Edition for improved off-road performance. Moreover, this could be the fastest Indian SUV with the addition of AWD, overtaking the Sierra EV. Other expected features include off-road modes, hill descent control (using regen), crawl mode, 540-degree camera, and a few more. Being a special edition, we can expect the Rally Edition to carry a price tag of around Rs 33 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
