Upcoming MG SUVs – MG IM6 EV

The MG IM6 EV is a coupe-style SUV with great road presence. The vehicle comes with a full-width light bar and sharp LED detailing. Underneath, the SUV is built on a modern EV architecture with up to a 100 kWh battery globally. The Indian version is expected to be a long-range RWD setup with 600+ km of range. MG’s focus is more on tech, with Advanced ADAS, LiDAR, a massive panoramic display, and a modern, high-end cabin experience. Mumbai on-road pricing will probably be around ₹70–80 lakh. That puts it straight against the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. The vehicle is expected to come by mid-2026.

MG Astor Facelift

 The Astor Facelift is one of the most-needed upgrades in MG’s lineup to stay competitive.  MG is expected to bring sharper styling, new alloys, and a clean interior, with a bigger screen and a better User Interface (UI). MG could also refine its ADAS and AI assistant, which were ahead of their time earlier. The powertrain could be the same: the 1.5 NA for daily use. The Astor Facelift would be priced around ₹13–22 lakh on-road in Mumbai and would go up against rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The vehicle is expected to come by the end of 2026.

Upcoming MG SUVs – MG ZS EV

The MG ZS EV feels a bit behind the competition in terms of its outdated appearance. MG is up to the task of giving it a proper upgrade. Better styling, updated infotainment, and to get ADAS. The battery and motor setup should remain the same, with 50.3 kWh (standard) delivering around 450–460 km of real-world range. The vehicle is expected to be priced between ₹27 lakh and ₹ 32 lakh on-road in Mumbai. The vehicle could come by late 2026.

MG Darion

The MG Darion is an MPV, nearly 5 metres long with sliding doors. It’s expected to come with both EV and plug-in hybrid options. The PHEV could deliver a massive range, which is perfect for family tours. A 1.5-litre petrol engine with a strong electric motor,  which is designed to provide a high electric-only range of up to 125 km, with a total driving range close to 1,000 km.

Electric Option (EV): Features a 201 bhp electric motor with a claimed range of approximately 540 km on a single charge. The Darion could come with a price tag of ₹40 lakh to ₹50 lakh, on road in Mumbai. The main competition would be towards the Kia Carnival and the Toyota Innova. The vehicle can be expected to cost ₹38 to ₹48 lakhs on the road in Mumbai. Could come to India by mid or late 2027.

Upcoming MG SUVs – MG Starlight 560

Yes, a proper boxy SUV, toughly the size of a Hector Plus. The vehicle is expected to come in a plug-in hybrid for India. The PHEV setup combines a petrol engine with an electric motor, offering around 100 km pure EV driving and over 1000 km total range. That’s truly practical for Indian buyers who aren’t ready to go full EV. 

There’s also a full EV version that shares underpinnings with the Windsor EV.  Expected 56.7kWh – 70kWh battery pack, front-mounted motor producing roughly 136hp (100kW) and 200Nm torque.  Mumbai on-road pricing could start at around ₹21–26 lakh, making the competition tougher. The Starlight is expected to reach Indian shores by the end of 2026.
