Honda 0 Alpha EV
Honda announced its entry into the EV market by showcasing its “0” range of vehicles. Unfortunately, this plan has hit a few bumps over the past few months as Honda has scrapped the plan for this range in the North American market. While it may not have confidence in the American markets, Honda has higher hopes for India, where this plan has gained traction. In fact, the testing phase of the 0 Alphal has already commenced.
The 0 Alpha looks nothing like the other models in its range. It features a futuristic design language, which is very unlike Honda. This isn’t necessarily a negative point for the Alpha as it is quite a striking-looking SUV. It sports a bold stance, and in a market that adores road presence, the 0 Alpha has what it takes to be a hit.

Features & Specifications
Honda has kept the powertrain options and the feature list a mystery for now. But given that it will compete with SUVs like the XEV9E and the Harrier.ev, Honda will have to pack it with features like Level-2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and a big battery pack to stay competitive. From the concept images, the interior carries a minimalistic design due to the lack of buttons on the dashboard. The production-spec is expected to improve on the ergonomics, while retaining the 3-screen setup from the concept.

Honda 0 Alpha EV – Expected Launch & Pricing
The 0 Alpha EV is set to go on sale in 2027. It will mark a new chapter for Honda as it will be its first-ever EV in India. With rising fuel costs and ethanol blends, the EV market shows significant potential. And the 0 Alpha can benefit from this moment of crisis.
Since the Alpha 0 EV will be built in India, the prices are expected to be attractive. We expect the 0 Alpha to be priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 35 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Honda’s hybrid movement may not have worked in India, but can it change its fortune with EVs?
