Kia Syros EV Launched

The Syros EV has been launched at a price of Rs 14.25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), with the top variant costing Rs 21.1 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The BaaS version is priced at Rs 7.99 lakh. It is offered in 7 variants – HTK, HTK+, HTK X, HTK + ER, HTX ER, HTX+ ER, X-Line ER. As for the colour options, you can pick from Ivory Silver Matte, Frost Blue, Gravity Grey, Pewter Olive, Magma Red, Ivory Silver Gloss, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, and Xclusive Matte Graphite. Bookings had commenced last week, and the deliveries are expected to start soon.

The Syros EV looks identical to the ICE version, and if not for the tweaked bumpers and the Syros EV nameplate at the back, it would be impossible to differentiate it from the petrol/diesel-powered sibling. Even the feature list is identical to the combustion-propelled models.

There are two battery packs on offer – 42kWh and 51.4kWH. These same battery packs are also offered on the Creta electric. But due to the smaller dimensions of the Syros, it gets a range advantage over it. The claimed range figures are 443km and 526km, respectively. As for charging times, you can charge both packs from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes using a 100kW fast charger.
