Best Budget 7-Seater
While there are several affordable 7-seaters available that cost less than the Rs.10 lakh mark, those compromise on space. And having a 7-seater car and compromising on the 3rd row seats doesn’t make any sense. However, there’s a car priced at the Rs.10 lakh mark that offers better space even on the 3rd row. We are talking about the Maruti Ertiga.
For someone planning to buy a budget 7-seater, the Maruti Ertiga actually hits the mark. This 7-seater Maruti is priced between Rs. 10.36 lakh and Rs. 15.35 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). That said, it won’t even harm your pocket.
At this price point, the Maruti Ertiga stands out with its 4,395mm length, while others in the same price point are under 4m. With a longer length, the 3rd row is quite usable, even for adults. Yes, frequent long travel might not be suitable if adults are sitting in the 3rd row, but that’s eventually a case in most of the 7-seaters present today.

Features & Powertrain
This Maruti 7-seater is not quite loaded with modern tech and features, but it still offers a 7-inch infotainment screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a reverse parking camera, 4 speakers, 6 airbags standard, a 4.2-inch instrument cluster, and more.
Talking about the powertrain, it is powered by a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine (102bhp & 137Nm). It is mated to a 5-speed MT and a 6-speed AT gearbox. There’s also a CNG option available with the same engine setup, but it produces 85bhp & 121Nm and is mated to a 5-speed MT gearbox.
