Maruti Fronx Facelift Spotted

Fresh images of the Fronx facelift have surfaced online. The facelift was spotted with a cover on partially revealing key details about the facelift. Primarily, the facelift gets a gloss-black front grille along with a chrome strip running across on the upper part of the grille. The grille also sports red elements for a sportier look. But importantly, we can spot the radar for ADAS, implying that Maruti could add an ADAS suite in its equipment list. If the Fronx gets ADAS, it would make it the second-ever Maruti Suzuki to get such driver assists (after the Victoris).

At the rear, two badges are visible – “Smart Hybrid” and “Boosterjet”. At the moment, Maruti offers its smart hybrid tech only on models that use the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine. Looking at the badges, it is likely that the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine also gets this technology. Spyshots also reveal inside of the engine and confirming that the Boosterjet engine is here to stay.

Maruti Fronx Facelift Spotted – What Else?

As far as features are concerned, the inclusion of ADAS is the biggest news. Other expected additions include an electric sunroof, bigger 10.1-inch infotainment screen, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, etc. Moreover, while the smart hybrid powertrain may have been confirmed, Maruti is yet to reveal further details about the Fronx hybrid and flex fuel. The Fronx hybrid had been spotted on Indian roads before, but many suspected that it was the export version. This particular model seems to be the India-spec one as the “Nexa” branding is evident on the rear windscreen.

We could see the Fronx facelift on Indian roads in the early months of 2027. The pricing is expected to see a major price hike of around Rs 1 lakh due to the new features. Lower variants could be priced similiarly to the outgoing model. At the moment, the Fronx is priced between Rs 8.00 – 14.09 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), and with the facelift, the top variants could cross the Rs 15 lakh mark.
