Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Motor India retailed 54,210 vehicles in July 2026, registering a healthy 23.28% year-on-year (YoY) growth over 43,973 units sold in July 2025. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, sales also improved by 36.77% compared to 39,635 units retailed in June 2026. The sharp MoM growth was largely aided by improved availability of key models and stronger demand across the company’s SUV and hatchback portfolio.
Hyundai Sales Breakup July 2026
Creta, including the electric version, were Hyundai’s highest-selling model with 18,088 units sold in July. It accounted for 33.37% of the company’s total sales and registered a 7.04% YoY growth over 16,898 units sold in July last year. Compared to June, Creta sales surged 152.34%, helped by improved production and dispatches.

Venue was Hyundai’s second best-selling model with 11,095 units, posting 37.76% YoY growth over 8,054 units. MoM sales also improved by 2.96% from 10,776 units. Exter followed with 6,810 units, recording a healthy 34.19% YoY increase. However, compared to June, retail sales declined 16.48%.
One of the biggest gainers during the month was the i20, with retail sales rising to 6,738 units. This represented a 98.41% YoY increase over 3,396 units sold in July 2025. On a monthly basis, i20 registered an impressive 268.60% growth from 1,828 units in June, making it Hyundai’s fastest-growing model in MoM terms.

Aura also continued its steady performance with 5,817 units, up 25.47% YoY, although sales slipped 2.68% compared to June. i10 NIOS recorded 4,055 units, improving 13.90% YoY but witnessing a 16.65% decline over the previous month.
Alcazar, Verna And EV Lineup
Alcazar retail sales stood at 862 units. While sales improved sharply by 183.55% MoM from 304 units in June, they were down 39.25% YoY compared to 1,419 units sold in July 2025. Verna retailed 737 units, recording a 33.03% MoM increase over June. However, sales declined 10.77% YoY. IONIQ 5 continued to remain a niche offering with 8 units sold during the month, while Tucson recorded no retail salesin July 2026.
SUVs Continue To Drive Hyundai Growth
SUVs continued to account for the bulk of Hyundai’s sales, led by Creta, Venue, Exter and Alcazar. Combined, these four SUVs contributed nearly 68% of the company’s total retail sales in July, underlining Hyundai’s continued focus on the fast-growing SUV segment.
Hyundai Bayon SUV Spied
Hyundai is also preparing a major product offensive over the coming months. The company is expected to launch its first made-in-India electric SUV around October 2026. Positioned in the sub-4 metre segment, it will rival models such as Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.
This will be followed by a Bayon-based mid-size SUV, which is expected to take on Maruti Victoris, and then the next-generation Creta, featuring an all-new platform, redesigned exterior and interior, along with updated technology and powertrain options. With three important SUV launches lined up this financial year, Hyundai will be aiming to further strengthen its position in the domestic passenger vehicle market.
