2027 Mahindra Vision S Sub 4m SUV
Upcoming Vision S is expected to be positioned as a rugged, lifestyle oriented and accessible sub-4-meter SUV
Mahindra is working on multiple new models based on its advanced and highly versatile NU IQ platform. One of these is the Vision S SUV, which has been spotted multiple times in recent months. Recent spy shots are from Kaza, Himachal Pradesh, revealing the test mule is likely filling diesel at a fuel station.
Mahindra Vision S – Compact, boxy profile
With its differentiated tall and planted profile, Vision S achieves a clear distinction against other offerings in the sub-4-meter segment. An upright front fascia can be seen with Mahindra’s signature slatted grille design. Earlier spy shots had revealed a centrally mounted radar sensor within the grille. This has confirmed that Vision S will be equipped with ADAS, likely with the higher variants.

In these latest spy shots, other features such as a flat clamshell bonnet, top mounted headlamps and a prominent bumper section are noticeable. Earlier spy shots had revealed inverted L-shaped DRLs integrated with the headlamps. An ice-cube design has been used for the headlamps and the fog lamps. Vision S has a tall profile, which can be one of its key USPs.
Spied next to a Toyota Fortuner, Vision S seems only slightly smaller in height. It is possible that Vision S could emerge as one of the tallest in the sub-4-meter SUV segment. In addition to enhancing road presence, the taller profile can also translate into spacious interiors. Vision S has a short overhang, which is also something that can allow more legroom and usable interior volume.

Vision S utilizes precise, straight lines for the door and window panels. The beltline and roofline run parallel, which amplify the boxy proportions. Other key highlights include squared wheel arches, rectangular ORVMs and flush door handles. At the rear, Vision S has a tailgate mounted spare tyre. This will be another key differentiating factor for the SUV.
Interior, equipment
While Vision S is expected to be offered at a competitive price point, the SUV will also pack a comprehensive range of premium features. Earlier spy shots have revealed features like a large TFT instrument cluster and a tall and squarish touchscreen infotainment screen. AC vents are vertically positioned and have a distinctive mirror-style design format.

Control panel used with Vision S appears similar to that of Thar Roxx and Scorpio N. For easy ingress and egress, the SUV is equipped with handles on the A pillar. Other key highlights include a panoramic sunroof and independent rear suspension. The latter could be a first-in-segment feature in the sub-4-meter SUV segment. Vision S is expected to get features like ventilated seats, 360 degree camera, electric parking brake and powered seats.
Vision S could be initially introduced with petrol and diesel engine options. The NU IQ platform also supports electric, hybrid and flex fuel powertrains, which could be added at a later date. Vision S launch is expected sometime in 2027.
