Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan shared his first social media post after undergoing knee surgery following an injury on the sets of his upcoming film with director Kabir Khan. Currently recovering at home, the actor gave fans a glimpse of his injured leg and hospital. Kartik shared a series of photos and videos on Instagram on Sunday (August 23). One of the pictures shows him wearing a knee brace, while another features the words, “Foot out of service.” He also shared a black-and-white picture that appears to have been taken at a Mumbai hospital, showing him sitting on a hospital bed with IV cannulas in his left hand.The post also includes older glimpses of the actor running and training for the upcoming sports drama. Sharing the pictures, Kartik wrote, “Kabir sir said – Break a leg,” referring to the common phrase used to wish someone good luck.
Kartik’s health update after knee injury
Kartik suffered the injury on August 18 while shooting an intense action sequence for Kabir Khan’s upcoming film. The incident took place during the final two days of the shoot, following which he was admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mahim, Mumbai.The actor subsequently underwent knee surgery and has now returned home to continue his recovery.His spokesperson confirmed that the procedure was successful, saying, “His surgery was completed successfully, and he is now back home, resting and recovering. He will be back on set soon.” Reports had earlier suggested that Kartik’s injury could lead to a change in the film’s shooting schedule. However, Kabir Khan dismissed the speculation and confirmed that the project remains on track.The upcoming film marks Kartik and Kabir’s second collaboration after Chandu Champion. The actor is also making his debut as a producer with the sports drama under his own banner.The untitled sports drama is reportedly inspired by an extraordinary real-life sporting story. Kartik plays a kickboxing coach who mentors a young girl from Kashmir. The film is reportedly inspired by the journey of Tajamul Islam, the Kashmiri kickboxing champion who went on to gain international recognition for her achievements in the sport.
