Latest teaser previews the Aeris’ cabin and camera technology ahead of its September 25 launch, with more features expected to be shared with Tiago
Tata has revealed the interiors of the upcoming Aeris sedan in a new teaser ahead of its launch tomorrow, September 25. The images show a dashboard layout closely resembling the Tiago, but with a lighter, beige-looking colour theme across the cabin. A 360-degree camera with integrated dashcam functionality is the highlight of the latest promotional video.

The dashboard features a freestanding touchscreen above twin central AC vents, followed by a row of physical switches. Further down, a gloss-black climate-control panel houses two rotary knobs and AERIS lettering. A textured horizontal trim strip separates the upper and lower dashboard sections.

The light-coloured treatment extends to the seats and adjustable front headrests, while a front centre armrest is visible between the seats. The teaser also reveals a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a fully digital instrument cluster. A rotary selector appears on the centre console, indicating this is the AMT version. Paddle shifters are also on offer. It could also be the Aeris CNG AMT version.
360-Degree Camera With Integrated Dashcam
The touchscreen displays four camera feeds labelled Front, Rear, Left and Right. Each shows a person holding a card, together forming the message “Time To Defeat Boring”. This brings the camera demonstration into Tata’s ongoing promotional campaign.

The 360-degree camera system incorporates dashcam functionality, allowing the exterior cameras to record footage as well as assist with manoeuvring. Similar technology is already offered on some Tata models, providing coverage around the vehicle without requiring a separate aftermarket dashcam. Existing implementations support functions such as continuous recording and incident footage storage.
More Cabin Features Expected
Given the shared layout, Aeris is expected to draw extensively from the Tiago’s equipment list. A 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a Harman audio system, could feature on higher variants. The digital driver display is already visible in the teaser.

Other expected additions include wireless smartphone charging, USB Type-C ports, automatic climate control and rear AC vents. A blind-view monitor could complement the camera system, although these features and their variant-wise availability await confirmation. The centre console includes space for a phone ahead of the rotary selector.
Sedan Boot To Add Practicality
While the cabin layout looks familiar, Aeris will provide more luggage space than the Tiago hatchback. A twin-cylinder CNG version is also expected, with its luggage space depending on the final tank packaging.
Power is expected to come from the familiar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, with manual and AMT options. CNG Aeris is also expected with MT and AMT. Final specifications, prices and variants will be announced at launch tomorrow, when Aeris enters the segment occupied by Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze.
