On the other hand, the Honda Amaze has been one of the most reliable compact sedans and has been a great choice for many. But is it just as safe as the Dzire?

Which One’s Safer?

The Honda Amaze has scored a 5-star safety rating at the BNCAP, with an Adult Occupant Protection rating of 28.33 out of 32, and a Child Occupant Protection Rating of 40.81 out of 49. On the other hand, the Maruti Dzire has also scored a 5-star safety rating in the BNCAP. However, this score is backed by an Adult Occupant Protection rating of 29.46 out of 32 and a Child Occupant Protection rating of 41.57 out of 49.

So, even though both these compact sedans have achieved a 5-star safety rating, Dzire still has the upper hand, thanks to the higher AOP and COP rating. For safety equipment, the Honda Amaze gets ADAS, 6 airbags, a lane watch camera, hill start assist, rear parking camera, emergency stop signal, ABS, and much more. On the contrary, the Dzire gets safety features like a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill hold assist, ABS, and much more. That said, both these cars are great choices in terms of safety.

The Honda does have better safety features like ADAS, which adds to the convenience factor as well, considering you get adaptive cruise control and more such features. However, just by the safety rating from BNCAP, the Dzire is better in terms of numbers. Nevertheless, both the Amaze and the Dzire are safe options in this segment.
