New Honda 7-Seater: What’s That?
While Honda has a very limited car portfolio for India, that’s not the case in the International market. Honda offers a slew of models in the international auto market, including an exciting 7-seater called StepWGN.
Look-wise, it just looks like the Maruti WagonR from the front – it actually has that boxy-tall boy look. Even on the side, if we do not consider the extended length, it would look like the WagonR itself. While every design element might make you think of the Maruti WagonR, the Honda logo makes a change.
While the Maruti WagonR is a hatchback, this 7-seater from Honda measures around 4.8m – that means it has good cabin space to comfortably seat 7 human beings. Just as a reference, the Innova, which is known to offer good space, is a 4.8m-long MPV. So, for the Indian market, this 7-seater from Honda could get good demand.

Interiors
The interior changes the game completely. This Honda 7-seater gets a big touchscreen infotainment, dual-zone climate control, powered sliding doors, ADAS, folding seats, folding tables, rear armrest, winged headrests and more in its package. That’s not all; it is one of the MPV’s that has reclining seats with armrests, calf support and sliding function even in the third row. So it is a fairly loaded 7-seater.
With all these features, if Honda places this 7-seater against the Toyota Innova, then it will be an interesting battle to watch.

Powertrain
The Honda 7-seater is powered by a 2.0-litre NA petrol engine with hybrid tech. If it comes to India, expect the model to be powered by the same unit as seen on the Honda ZRV. That means it won’t lose out on efficiency either.

Expected Launch & Price
Honda has not yet confirmed if it is looking to bring this 7-seater to our shores. However, the Japanese automaker is planning to bring in some international models to India by mid-2027. If these models make it to that list, then it will be an interesting model from Honda.
