More About The Model

The Maruti Baleno facelift features a revised front-end design, including a new grille that houses the radar for ADAS. However, the side profile and rear end remain similar to the old model.

This Maruti hot hatch now packs several exciting features, including some first-in-segment ones. The list includes a 9-inch infotainment unit, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, six airbags (standard), Level 2 ADAS, a wireless charging pad, and more.

Another big change is the inclusion of the new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine, which also powers the Swift and Dzire. This engine helps to increase the overall mileage of this hatch. But better mileage won’t be this mill’s only duty; Maruti plans to offer a new series hybrid tech paired with this engine by next year. And the Baleno could also get the same after this tech debuts with the Maruti Fronx.

Should You Buy The Maruti Baleno?

At this price point, the Maruti Baleno is a good deal for those looking for a hot hatch. While it offers great value for money and some goodies, it is still positioned in a territory dominated by compact SUVs. If your priority is to get a good, feature-loaded, yet better-mileage hatchback, instead of India’s obsession, the Maruti Baleno can be a perfect buy.
