2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift
New details about the upcoming Maruti Brezza ahead of its launch – Revealing powertrain options, variant-wise availability, safety features and equipment list
Maruti Suzuki has already started teasing the new Brezza, with the official launch scheduled for July 24. Based on information accessed by RushLane, the updated compact SUV will introduce multiple upgrades across the powertrain, safety and feature list, while also receiving subtle cosmetic enhancements.
New Maruti Brezza – 3 powertrain options
The biggest update is the addition of a 1.0-litre BoosterJet turbo petrol engine with Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) technology. Sources have revealed that this powertrain will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and offered across LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ variants.
The familiar 1.5-litre K-Series Smart Hybrid engine will continue in the lineup. It will be available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. The manual transmission is expected to be offered with LXi, VXi and ZXi, while the automatic will be available in VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ variants.
Maruti Suzuki is also set to introduce a revised 1.5-litre K-Series S-CNG version featuring Idle Stop Start (ISS) technology. Unlike the outgoing model, the updated Brezza will use an underbody-mounted CNG cylinder, which is expected to improve luggage space. This version is likely to be available with a 6-speed manual transmission in LXi, VXi and ZXi variants.

Safety and features upgraded
Source also points to a significantly expanded safety package. New additions are expected to include Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Vehicle Exit Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), front parking sensors and front fog lamps with extended lighting function.
Interestingly, Vehicle Exit Warning is expected to be a first for a Maruti Suzuki model. However, ADAS will not be on offer. On the feature front, the new Brezza is expected to come equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting 35+ connected apps, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger with cooling pad, 64-colour ambient lighting and an auto-purify PM2.5 cabin filter.
Minor Changes On The Outside
Exterior revisions are expected to include new dual-tone crystal-cut alloy wheels, a dark chrome front grille and new dual-tone door cladding, complementing the refreshed front and rear styling already previewed in official teasers.
Maruti Suzuki will officially launch the updated Brezza on July 24, with prices expected to be announced on the same day. The refreshed SUV will continue to rival Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kylaq in the sub SUV segment.
