Suzuki V-Strom SX Gets New Colour
Suzuki has expanded the V-Strom SX’s colour palette with a black and matte grey option, while retaining its existing engine and equipment
Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced a new Glass Sparkle Black + Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray colour option for the V-Strom SX. Featuring revised graphics, the new finish joins the adventure tourer’s existing colour choices. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 2,02,118, ex-showroom Delhi.
V-Strom Sales Cross 1,000 Units
Suzuki V-Strom sales reached 1,012 units in August 2026, compared with 101 units in August last year. This translates to an increase of 911 units, or approximately 902%, although the sharp percentage growth comes off a low base.
200cc To 350cc Motorcycle Sales Aug 2026 – YoY
The V-Strom ranked sixth in the 205cc–340cc motorcycle sales grouping, accounting for a 3.42% share. Overall sales in this category reached 29,582 units, up 72.03% from 17,196 units a year earlier. TVS Ronin led the category, followed by the combined Bajaj Pulsar 220/250 lineup and KTM’s 250cc range. Against this backdrop, the new colour gives Suzuki another option to offer buyers considering the V-Strom SX for daily riding and weekend touring.
Four Colour Options Now Available
The new Glass Sparkle Black + Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray finish joins Champion Yellow No. 2 + Glass Sparkle Black, Pearl Glacier White + Metallic Matte Stellar Blue, and Glass Sparkle Black. This takes the motorcycle’s colour palette to four choices.
The update retains the V-Strom SX’s familiar design, including its distinctive front beak, windscreen, slim chassis and upright riding position. Knuckle covers and a rear carrier continue to support its touring-oriented package.
Commenting on the announcement, Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said the new colour offers customers greater choice to express their individual style while complementing the motorcycle’s adventure-touring character.
249cc Engine And Equipment Unchanged
Power comes from a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled SOHC engine producing 26.5 PS at 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm of torque at 7,300 rpm. There are no mechanical changes accompanying the new colour. The engine features Suzuki Oil Cooling System, or SOCS, which supports a compact and lightweight design. Suzuki Eco Performance technology is also part of the package, balancing performance and fuel efficiency.
The V-Strom SX rides on a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, with ground clearance of 205 mm. Dual-channel ABS remains standard. Equipment includes LED lighting, Suzuki Easy Start System and a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument cluster with Suzuki Ride Connect. A USB charging outlet adds convenience for riders using their phones on longer journeys, while the windscreen, knuckle covers and rear carrier remain part of the existing equipment package.
