New 7-Seater SUVs: Renault 7-Seater Based On Duster
Renault has already unveiled the Boreal, a 7-seater version of the Duster in the international markets. The same iteration is also expected to launch in India by early 2027. Design-wise, it will closely resemble the Duster SUV and will even carry the feature suite from that. Powertrain-wise, we expect the 1.3-litre turbo petrol and the 1.8-litre NA petrol hybrid engine to do the duty. Here, Renault might ditch the 1.0-litre turbo petrol, as it might make the drive feel underpowered.
Speaking of the pricing, with all these features and an expanded length, we expect the Renault 7-seater to be priced between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Likewise, the Renault, Nissan is also expected to launch the 7-seat version of the Tekton. Nissan is expected to design it with cues from the Nissan Patrol. We could even see the feature suite on the model carried over from the 5-seater, Tekton. However, just like the differentiating factor between the Duster and Tekton, the Nissan 7-seater might even lose out on some ADAS features.
It remains to be seen if Nissan offers the 1.8-litre NA petrol hybrid engine with this 7-seater, as the same mill has been missed out on the Tekton. If it doesn’t, Nissan might continue the turbo petrol duos with this model. We are expecting Nissan to launch this 7-seater following the launch of Renault’s version. Pricing-wise, expect this 7-seater SUV to be priced between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
